MPGS and MPHS Boosters will have an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 16th at 6:30pm at PizzMan in the party room. All are welcome to attend.

Don't forget tomorrow is school picture day! You can order pictures online at inter-state.com/order, you must use order code# 52702RA.
Baseball and Softball Pictures will also be taken on Wednesday, September 16th. You can order those pictures using the same website but order code#53066MA. Baseball Pictures will be taken at the grade school at 9am and Softball pictures will be taken at the Field at 3:30pm. Please contact the office if you have any questions or concerns.

Superintendent Lamkey has a request for all of our community to help bridge our past to our future. He is looking for photos of past community school buildings (Elkhart Grade & High Schools, Mt. Pulaski Grade & High Schools, as well as Chestnut, Lake Fork & Cornland Schools. Depending on what pictures are available, we hope to incorporate the old pictures in the construction. If you have pictures available for reproduction or possibly to loan, please contact Superintendent Lamkey at 217-792-7221 or at flamkey@mtpulaski.k12.il.us.

Good afternoon Parents and Guardians! We made it through our first in-person day here at MPGS and we were thrilled. There are still a few bumps in the road when it comes to dismissal, but we are going to work those kinks out. We apologize for the delay in getting students out of the building today. Here are a few things that will help us out:
1. Please communicate with your child each day on whether they should be getting lunch. We are taking lunch count every morning and we want to make sure we have an accurate count.
2. If you have any plastic grocery sacks that you would like to get off your hands we will take them from you. You can send them with your child if you wish or drop off at the office.
We are so excited to have your students back in the building!

Please remember to come and pick up your mask and lanyards. They will be outside of the school all weekend for you to access.
There have been a few changes to our routines. All walkers and pickups will be coming out the front main office doors. The kindergarten teachers will still walk them down towards the kindergarten door for you to pick up.
All junior high students will be staying in one room for the duration of the school day except for their electives.
6th and 7th grade art will be in the art room, 8th grade art will be in the library.
6th grade band will remain in their classrooms and they will be instructed on where to go.
7th and 8th grade band will report to the band room.
Choir students will report to the choir room.
In order to find out what section your junior high student is in please look under the section number in teacherease.

If your student is doing remote learning please stop by the school on Thursday or Friday between 8-3 to pick up their materials that they will need.

The Hot Spot order is going in today! If you haven't registered, we need to know if you need a hot spot, if your student will attend remotely or in-person, if your student intends to purchase lunch/breakfast daily, and if your child needs transportation. You can email your answers to these questions to hfricke@mtpulaski.k12.il.us. You can also call the grade school office (since the HS doesn't have phones) at 217-792-7220. We need this information ASAP!
Also, you will still need to visit the correct office to turn in registration paperwork.

Junior high students will need to bring supplies as needed each day. Teachers will communicate with students on what is needed on specific days. They will not be utilizing lockers as of now. There will not be anywhere to store their excess materials. They also will not need to have PE clothes to change into or a lock.
Suggested everyday materials would be notebook, folders or tapper keeper, pencils, highlighter, colored pencils, calculator, and a charged IPad.

During registration this week, we will be collecting school supplies. If you would like to bring your child’s school supplies there will be marked locations for their classes on the bleachers. Please have all supplies and bags labeled.

Reminder: If you need registration paperwork, it is available at the grade school between 8 AM and 3 PM this week. Enter the front door and it's on a table just inside the lobby.
Registration is this Thursday and Friday at the grade school gym from 3 PM until 8 PM - and on Saturday from 9 AM until 1 PM. Please read through the registration article for specific details:

The lost and found items will remain outside this evening for those that weren’t able to make it to the school today.

Parents, if your child has not picked up their belongings from their classroom or their PE locker there will be a table out front of the school on Thursday from 9-2 with all the items that were not claimed. Please refrain from coming into the building and respect others while social distancing. What is not claimed will be donated.

Mt. Pulaski School district #23 is looking for 2 assistant cooks. We are looking to fill one position at the high school and one at the grade school.
