Mount Pulaski CUSD 23 is pleased to partner with the Logan County Department of Public Health and Who We Play For to offer ECG heart screening for all MPCUSD 23 students ages 10 and up.
This optional ECG screening works to identify heart abnormalities in seemingly healthy kids who could be at risk for sudden cardiac arrest. A simple 5-minute heart screening could help reduce the risk of sudden cardiac arrest by 90%. This screening will be offered at no cost to all MPCUSD 23 students ages 10 and up.
Who We Play For screening will be held at Mount Pulaski schools on Thursday, April 4, 2024. All registrations will take place via the Who We Play For website. Registration will open soon; a registration link will be shared with families via email through the TeacherEase system.
Any registered student will need to have a signed consent form on file:

Each electrocardiogram (ECG) heart screening is interpreted by a pediatric cardiologist or cardiologist volunteering to serve on WWPF's Medical Advisory Team. Results are returned via email up to 7 business days after the screening.
